Forklift Operator / Food Production Worker - Heidelberg West

$35 per hour + super Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Immediate Start

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Forklift Operator who is also comfortable assisting with general food production tasks when required. This role suits someone reliable, adaptable, and ready to jump into a busy environment with an immediate start.

About the Role

You will primarily work in the warehouse operating electric counterbalance forklifts (Linde and Hyster) to load and unload trucks, move stock, and maintain safe and efficient workflow. On quieter days, you'll support the production team with tasks such as packing dips, assembling boxes, and preparing ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate electric counterbalance forklifts for loading/unloading
• Pick, move, and manually handle stock (up to 20kg)
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
• Assist with food production tasks including packing, boxing, and ingredient prep
• Follow hygiene and quality control procedures
• Work collaboratively to meet production and warehouse targets

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 12 months recent counterbalance forklift experience
• Current, valid forklift licence
• Comfortable working in cold storage environments (freezer, chiller, ambient)
• Physically capable of manual handling
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• Flexible and willing to assist across warehouse and production as needed
