Forklift Operator | Food Manufacturing | Immediate Start

Location: Heidelberg West, VIC
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:06pm
Pay: $35/hour (includes cold room allowance) + Super
Type: Casual | Ongoing Work
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Forklift Operators to join a busy food manufacturing site located in Heidelberg West. This role offers long-term, ongoing work for the right candidates and includes both forklift operation and hands-on production duties.

About the Role:

This is a dual-role position. While your primary duties will involve operating forklifts, there will also be food production responsibilities during quieter forklift periods.

Forklift & Warehouse Duties:

Operate electric counterbalance forklifts (Linde & Hyster)

Load and unload trucks

Pick and move stock (manual lifting up to 20kg)

General warehouse duties and housekeeping

Maintain safety and hygiene protocols at all times

Cold storage work in freezer (-4°C), chiller (1.5°C), and ambient zones

Food Production Duties (as required):

Pack dips and other products with accuracy

Operate basic food production machinery

Assemble boxes, prepare ingredients, and maintain hygiene standards

Assist in meeting daily production targets

What We're Looking For:

Valid forklift licence with at least 12 months recent experience

Experience in cold storage environments (preferred)

Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg

Comfortable working in freezer/chiller/ambient zones

Strong attention to detail and safety-focused

Willingness to support food production tasks as needed

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Previous warehouse management experience is a bonus

PPE including jackets for cold storage zones will be provided.
