The Organisation:

A multi-faceted company spanning multiple business units in logistics and transport. A stable and growing essential service during this time of Covid-19.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Reporting to and working closely with the HSE Manager & HSE Team, you will assist in

implementing initiatives and systems that will drive best practice in Health, Safety &

Environment and further develop the Safety culture. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Emergency Procedures

  • Traffic Management Plan, Site Risk Assessment (Signage requirements, Line marking etc)

  • Organise training - e.g., overhead crane, fire extinguisher

  • HSE documentation

  • Risk Assessments for the plant and equipment that is used

  • Drafting Checklist and inspections as determined

  • PPE Requirement review

  • SWMS & SOPs for tasks to be undertaken (primarily high-risk work)

  • Contractor management

  • Company Reporting & Compliance System Maintenance (e.g. STEMS)

The Successful Applicant:

  • Minimum Five years' experience in a safety / EHS role

  • A recognised formal qualification in WHS or related field

  • Working knowledge of OHS & WHS legislation, Regulations Codes of Practice and

  • Standards

  • Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Knowledge of Google Suite & Microsoft Office Programs

  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to get one.

  • Current & Valid Drivers Licence

  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced blue-collar environment

  • Excellent time management and communication skills
