Job Title: Machine Operator - Food Manufacturing

Location: Heidelberg West, VIC
Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $32.31 per hour + superannuation

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join a dynamic food manufacturing team. This role requires minimal supervision and offers a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor food production machinery including mixers, slicers, conveyors, and packaging equipment
• Perform routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting to reduce downtime
• Set up machinery for daily production runs and adjust settings as needed
• Ensure consistent product quality by adhering to standard operating procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and work areas
• Collaborate with production staff to meet daily output targets
• Follow safety protocols and promptly report hazards or equipment issues

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in machine operation within food manufacturing or a similar industry preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 20kg
• Effective communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
