ManpowerGroup is actively engaged with a Federal Government department that is now looking to on-board an enthusiastic Media Officer, who will be key in managing all media relationships and communication activities across Australia.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend for an additional 1 year.
About the role:
- Support a large team of marketing and communications professionals across a variety of campaigns
- Liaise with newsrooms around Australia and work with relevant stakeholders to organise interviews, generate media coverage and disseminate key departmental messages.
- Proactively monitor group in-boxes, and manage deployment of campaigns and marketing activities.
- Support PR campaigns and resolve complex enquiries from external stakeholders
About you:
- You have exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- You can work with a level of autonomy and independence, and can confidently make decisions that are based on professional judgement and in the context of a complex and changing environment.
- You take a proactive approach to managing activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are confident in bringing issues or program hiccups to the leadership team to ensure problems are addressed in a timely manner and reduce risk of further issues occurring.
