Production Forklift Operator
Employment Type: Full-time | Ongoing

Our client is a long standing pet food manufacturer operating a large scale production facility in Beresfield. The site processes raw meat and animal by products to produce pet food distributed nationwide. The environment is industrial, fast paced, and heavily production focused.

About the Role

This role is primarily production based, not just forklift driving. You will be working directly within the production area, supporting processing lines that handle raw meat and pet food ingredients.

This position is best suited to someone who has previously worked in an abattoir, meat works, or food manufacturing environment and is comfortable with strong smells, raw product handling, and a physically demanding production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts within a production environment handling raw meat and pet food products
• Support production teams by moving raw materials, and finished product
• Work on and around processing lines as required
• Remove production waste and completed product from processing areas
• Load and unload deliveries when required
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards at all times
• Complete daily forklift safety checks

Skills & Experience

• Current LF Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in an abattoir, meat processing, or similar production environment (highly regarded)
• Comfortable working around raw meat, byproducts, and strong odours
• Willingness to perform hands on production duties alongside forklift operation
• Strong safety awareness and reliability
• Physically capable of working in a demanding production setting
