// The Company

Our client, a sizeable Melbourne Healthcare provider - well known to many - are a large and multi-site operation. In a sector that has been very stable and solid during the Covid-19 pandemic, this organisation has managed the responses with the required flex and stretch. And due to a shuffle in responsibilities in roles, and a slight shift in risk profile, there is a requirement for a Safety Advisor with specialist knowledge in Logistics, Transport and Warehousing to join their team.

// The Role & Requirements

Because of the multi-site nature of large organisation, and a couple of warehouses within the group, it is important to bring into the organisation someone with specialist skills in the movement of goods, people, plant and equipment around the organisation.

Overall, you will have influence and responsibility for reviewing all organisational risk related to these areas, implementing and embedding a suite of procedures and process which (with potential revision to ensure alignment). This will include building a Training and Development program which will be partly delivered by you, and you will also train others.
So having elements of demonstrable training design and delivery of training will be highly advantageous for this role.

You will also have a broad range of practical solutions for risks as they emerge in the business, and (potentially) be able to build business case in conjunction with others in the team for procurement of service/products/plant.

// The Person

Broad background across warehousing and transport: this might include CoR, Warehouse and racking, dock safety, trucks and driver responsibility, fall from heights, deliveries etc.

Excellent communicator: through the development of relationships, communicating complex information, delivering information as an SME, and advising a large business, you will need to be a superior communicator, both verbal and written.

Training and Development: ideally someone who can demonstrate training background and prefer a desire to work in that space.

Passion to make a Difference: you will likely be someone who thrives when there is a difference to be made, where things aren't yet humming, and where your good work will make a genuine impact to those across the workforce and contractors.

Qualified: You will need a relevant qualification (Diploma minimum). And a current Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE will be advantageous.

// The Opportunity and Rewards

You will have the opportunity to lead and shape significant projects which will lead to a big impact on the organisation, in the short and longer term. There are also significant career steps to be made in a role like this.

You will be offered a competitive Salary Package and salary packaging options.
