Job description
A large Government Dept is looking for a Senior Agile Project Manager to join their team in Melbourne on a 10 month contract role.
The purpose of this role is to manage the successful delivery of products within a large program of work in aligned to prioritised business initiatives. Skills and resources will be acquired and utilised within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. Agile delivery management methodologies and approaches will be used to deliver project and business outcomes.
The Agile Project Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the successful delivery of assigned scope of works within a large program of work. The position will facilitate and coordinate agile teams to deliver in accordance with the strategic direction of the program and effectively lead the team, resources, stakeholders, and suppliers within the constraints of quality, time and cost as set out during program increment planning. The role will be responsible for managing a range of initiatives over the lifecycle using project best practices including agile methods and ways of working.
The Agile Project Manager is responsible for the following:
* Create strategies for the effective planning, monitoring, reporting, establishment and outcomes for agile delivery teams to deliver on the organisation's strategy and contribute to the creation of value and the delivery of benefits from the projects epics and features.
* Conduct agile ceremonies, including showcases or demonstrations and retrospectives as well as synchronisation with external parties
* Drive, manage and co-ordinate team objectives for the program increment, create and publish sprint plans for visibility and transparency and anticipate, recognise and resolve impediments, solve complex problems, identify patterns and manage dependencies
* Build and sustain mutually beneficial and collaborative relationships with vendors and stakeholders, including other scrum masters, release train engineers and project managers, consult and share information with own team and maximise team strengths to achieve outcomes
To be successful for the role you should Strong knowledge of, and demonstrated experience within a large ICT environment, of project management practice, leading to successful ICT improvement or transformation creating realised business
