About the Role
As a direct report to the Team Leader the Welder / Metal Fabricator will assist in the day-to-day operations of the workshop. No job will be the same and you'll get to weld on various products and equipment, growing your skills and knowledge along the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
  • Cutting marked out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
  • Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
  • Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrument
  • Assembling and joining metal sections using MIG Welding techniques
  • Conducting quality checks upon post job completion

About you
To be successful as the new Metal Fabricator, you will:

  • Possess previous welding experience, demonstrating proficiency in MIG welding
  • Be familiar with hydraulics, including repair and maintenance procedures
  • Have a strong commitment to safety, adhering to standard work practices to ensure a secure working environment
  • Be skilled at producing high-quality outcomes, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement
