Manpower is looking for a mechanically minded, hands on yard hand for ongoing work for our client in Welshpool. The role will be working on day shift Monday to Friday with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
Our client is a leading provider of diesel driven mobile equipment and are seeking a yard hand to assist in quality checks, pretesting of equipment (compressors, water pumps ect) and warehouse duties.
You do not need to be a trade qualified mechanic but any experience/knowledge in this field will be advantageous.
Hours Of Work:
Standard hours - 7:30AM - 3:30PM Monday to Friday (with the willingness to be flexible)
No weekends required to give you more time to spend with your family
To be successful you must:
- Be mechanically minded
- Have experience with hand tools and power tools
- Have a current LF licence and have experience driving 16 tonne forklifts
- Be able to pass a medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Be switched on and willing to learn
- Be reliable and a team player
Duties include:
- Minor PDI work (pre-delivery inspections)
- Quality checks and testing of equipment
- Use of hand tools and power tools
- Loading/unloading trucks - 16 tonne gas forklift
- General warehousing duties
