Job description
Production Operator (Forklift) - Adhesive Manufacturing
Location: Seven Hills
First 2 weeks is day shift while training:
7am-3pm ($46.47 p/h)
After 2 weeks will be put on a 3 shift rotational roster:
Arvo: 3pm-11pm ($53.44 p/h)
Night: 11pm-7am ($60.41 p/h)
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to join our adhesive manufacturing team in an ongoing, Monday-Friday role with temp-to-perm opportunity. This position operates across a rotating 3-shift roster, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production machinery and equipment safely in accordance with work instructions and manufacturing specifications
Set up and adjust equipment as required for production runs
Manufacture adhesives by mixing chemicals and raw materials in large tanks
Accurately weigh and measure products to ensure quality and consistency
Monitor product quality, identifying and removing faulty or non-conforming products
Maintain accurate daily production records for performance and compliance
Perform manual handling and labouring tasks as part of the production process
Operate a counterbalance forklift to move raw materials and finished goods (approximately 10-20% of the role)
About You
Current forklift licence is essential
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or chemical processing is highly regarded
A chemical or process manufacturing background is ideal but not essential
Candidates without chemical experience will be considered if they show a strong willingness to learn
Available and flexible to work across a rotating 3-shift roster
Physically capable of manual work
Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures accurately
