Lifeguard - Full Availability Required (Albury/Wodonga - Bandiana Military Base VIC)

A busy aquatic and fitness facility is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Lifeguard to join the team. This role suits someone who is confident in supervising pool environments, maintaining high safety standards, and providing excellent customer service.

About the Role

You'll work alongside another lifeguard at all times (never in isolation) and support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the aquatic and fitness areas. Duties include:

• Conducting pool water testing and maintaining correct chemical levels
• Supervising pool users and providing assistance when required
• Cleaning the sauna, pool deck, and equipment during closure periods
• Operating the pool vacuum and maintaining aquatic area cleanliness
• Assisting customers with gym equipment setup when needed

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 months experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant - preferred but not essential
• Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and confident communicating with patrons

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian Citizen
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Working With Children Check
• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transport

Hours & Availability

• Morning and afternoon shifts available
• Shifts run between 5:30am and 8:30pm, Monday-Sunday
• Full availability required across the roster

Pay Rate

$40.82 per hour
