Job description

Production:

  1. The Team member serves as a vital member of our Production team, responsible for making sure the productions are packed correctly by following the Key Responsibilities below.

    It is a working lifestyle on site - there is opportunity to be crossed trained across different departments to be able to boost hours if required.

    Line 1 and 2 work approx 32 weeks out of the year - this is not a full time role however can get 38 hours a week when required.

    Flexibility is needed as requirements can change - Account Manager will work with yourself and the Managers on site to make sure everything is covered ahead of time.

    Some Heavy Lifting is involved from the stacking department - 6 kg - 15 kg roughly.

    Rotating positions every 30 Min's is to help with Fatigue Management while on shift.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Working Line 1 & 2
    2. Spotting - checking for defects in products - must have a keen eye for detail
    3. Carefully packing Boxes ready for shipments
    4. Ensuring Taping Machine is working correctly - attention to detail
    5. Stacking the Pallets in accordance with the Stacking Plan to ensure weight distribution correctly for Forklift and Transport.
    6. Quality checks to ensure nothing was missed after the Spotting section - Attention to Detail
    7. Escalating any stock issues to Quality Control Officer and/or Line Manager
    8. Housekeeping:
    9. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the packing area, including keeping workstations tidy and disposing of packaging materials appropriately.
    10. Flexibility and Adaptability:
    11. Be prepared to work varying shift lengths as required, including during busy peak periods
    12. Team Collaboration:
    13. Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members
    14. Ability to work independently in area
    15. Escalate any issues to team leader


Forklift Operator:

2. Position Overview: Forklift Operator in packaging/warehouse team.


Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
Transport pallets of packaged alcohol products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
Stack and organize pallets in designated storage areas, following inventory management procedures.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
pick and pack with RF scanner of individual cases or bottles
Escalate any issues with machine/conveyor to line leader

  1. This role will report to the line leader and will have no direct reports. The line leader will support with anything operator is unsure of and will be around for supervision. Line leaders will be working across line of 4 operators.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a forklift operator
Valid forklift licence
Understanding of safety
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate machinery in a safe and controlled manner.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Ability to safely operate a forklift and perform tasks that may require bending and reaching.
