The Company
This ASX listed FinTech company works to help small businesses grow through providing financial services. This company is dedicated to providing an supportive culture where creativity is fostered, The company is in a high investment and growth phase, and is increasing its customer base, as well as the products it offers. As such, they are currently looking for an immediately available Company Accountant to join them in their Brisbane office in a part-time role for an initial 4 months.

The Role
The Company Accountant will work with the finance team and report to the CFO. As Company Accountant you will be an independent self-starter. The Company Accountant will work four days a week, completing basic accounting functions. As Company Accountant you will work closely under and be supported by the CFO and the Financial Accountant. Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-

  • General Ledger control
  • EOM journals including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Weekly payroll processing including payroll tax, superannuation, and WorkCover
  • Prepare tax reports including BAS
  • Full AP and AR
  • General office management
  • Ad hoc finance and administration tasks

About You
As the Company Accountant you will be organised and experienced in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, as well as ledgers and reports. You will be experienced, and able to work independently. As Company Accountant you will have experience in running day-to-day accounts and office management. You will be experienced with tax preparation, payroll, GL, and EOM reports and journals.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in accounting
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level communication skills
  • Experience with Xero desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel experience
  • Experience with Salesforce advantageous
