About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Melbourne. You'll be assembling high-quality food processing and packaging machinery, working from blueprints and specifications to deliver precision-built equipment that meets industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts and systems using hand and power tools.
• Operate production line equipment and metalworking machinery.
• Fit and align components using fixtures and tools.
• Mount and connect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Drill, tap, and ream holes; remove small quantities of metal for precision fitting.
• Install moving parts and test for free movement.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of completed products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Assembly or Fitting.
• 1-2 years' experience in mechanical assembly (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bilingual English proficiency (written and verbal) is a plus.
