This State Government Department is looking for a Software Developer to provide delivery of applications as a service, application lifecycle management and implementation of service management improvements including:
- Development, tests and deployment of computer programs/systems which meet business requirements within agreed timelines
- Ensure that systems developed meet the Information Technology and Management Division's quality standards and technical requirements
- Investigate operational system problems, provide management/business advice, and identify and implement appropriate solutions as required
- Work closely with customers to ensure problems are resolved and develop customer relationships through effective communication and consultation
KEY A AND ACTIVITIES
IT design
- Undertake programming tasks, including developing code
- Design and build systems and program specifications
IT maintenance and issue resolution
- Provide technical support for system/software release/go-live/warranty stages
- Identify and implement solutions to user issues
- Implement and maintain schedules and systems documentation
- Implement patches and upgrades
- Maintain system security
- Monitor and analyse IT performance
IT reviews
- Participate in technical reviews and provide expert advice
- Participate in Q processes
Customer relationship management
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with wider Dbusiness stakeholders
- Provide expert advice and support to users of organisational IT systems
IT testing
- Document and report test results
- Execute testing (SIT, U, Alpha / Beta testing phases etc.)
- Utilise business requirements and functional specifications/technical designs to inform test strategy, test plans and test scripts
