About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing & Administration Officer to support a national operations function within a fast-paced environment. This role sits within a warehouse support team and plays a key part in ensuring parts and materials are accurately procured, scheduled, and delivered across multiple wind farm sites.
You will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory requirements, and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and invoicing processes using SAP
- Coordinate and schedule parts requirements across multiple wind farm sites nationally
- Work within Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure accurate forecasting and stock availability
- Create picking slips for warehouse processing (administrative function only)
- Liaise with internal teams including warehouse and facilities staff
- Communicate with on-site supervisors and wind turbine personnel to coordinate parts and delivery schedules
- Handle inbound calls from site supervisors and respond to operational requests
- Prioritise urgent parts requirements and ensure timely coordination across sites
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all purchasing documentation is up to date
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administration role
- Experience using SAP (highly desirable; training can be provided)
- Exposure to MRP (Material Requirements Planning) environments
- Understanding of materials handling or inventory systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
