The Role

Our client is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sales for heat transfer and clean technology equipment across a diverse range of industries including Mining, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Pulp & Paper and Power both in traditional and emerging technologies such as Renewable fuels and Energy Storage. As a Sales Engineer, you will utilise your technical expertise to build client relationships, provide solutions, and achieve revenue targets. Key responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge and service expertise to existing and future clients
  • Responsible for "Lead, Opportunity, Quote to order" process for new projects
  • Thermal design heat ex-changers using proprietary programs
  • Travel to client's sites to build and maintain strong relationships, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions to address their specific requirements
  • Actively follow up on quotations with customers to understand if the proposed value is understood and if it is matching customer needs
  • Develop technical and commercial quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points.
  • Gather all required technical information, project brief and drivers from customers for optimal heat ex-changer designs to create the Sales proposal.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for service improvement and business expansion
  • Provide ongoing technical support to customers post-sale, ensuring they receive quality service, troubleshooting assistance, and maintenance solutions

Requirements:

  • A technical qualification in Engineering
  • In depth knowledge of heat ex-changer technology and affiliated industries
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in a sales role or an influencing role
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining good client relationships
  • Current Australian drivers licence
