Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Spray Painter to join a high volume industrial and heavy vehicle finishing team based in Fairy Meadow NSW. This role involves delivering high quality finishes on heavy vehicles, industrial equipment and specialised machinery using professional spray painting systems.
What You Will Do
You will prepare, prime, mask, mix and apply coatings across a variety of heavy duty and industrial assets. You will produce consistent finishes that meet quality standards and customer expectations. You will work in a safe and structured environment with modern equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces with precision sanding, masking and priming
- Mix and colour match paints to exacting standards
- Apply base coat and clear coat using professional spray equipment
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality and durability
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a spray painter working on heavy vehicles, industrial machinery or automotive assets
- Excellent colour matching skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain focus and produce quality work to deadlines
- Strong understanding of surface preparation, paint application and coating systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Trade Certificate in Auto Spray Painting or Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology AUR32412 is highly regarded
- Experience in panel beating, plastics repair or fibreglass repair will be highly regarded
