Job description
The VPS4 Video Producer contributes to developing high-quality creative content across internal and external departmental communication channels. Reporting to and working closely with the Video Production Lead, the Video Producer role is a key member of the Creative Services Team.
The Video Producer will create and develop high-quality video and photographic content for customer stories, internal communications, external social videos, marketing videos, social media, recruiting videos, corporate training, and other department-wide projects. They ensure that all creative content is clear, engaging, timely, and aligned with the department's digital strategy and strategic plan.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and produce video and photographic projects that align with departmental strategies.
- Manage production of digital media outputs (video, graphics, photography) and undertake local/regional travel as needed.
- Assist in creating and refining scripts, project concepts, and other materials.
- Identify and apply new and contemporary methodologies to improve communication services and engage stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless and professional communication services across the department.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the branch.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a high-performing video and creative team.
- Advanced skills in filming, editing, and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to handle multiple aspects of production, including on-site and studio settings
- Professionalism in managing client expectations and ensuring positive experiences
- Experience with digital cameras, lighting, audio recording equipment, and camera accessories
- Knowledge of relevant government legislation and digital media experience (preferred)
- *Advantageous experience in animation and drone camera operation.
