Senior WHS Manager - Contract

A household name in the commercial real estate space has changed ownership structure and is currently seeking a Senior WHS Manager. This exciting role has been created to work in conjunction with a third-party auditor to overhaul and reconfigure the company's Health and Safety program.

About the Role:

The Senior WHS Manager role has been created to assist in the revamp and implementation of a national Safety strategy and program of work. Working with a third-party auditor, you will collaboratively re-develop a WHS strategy and communication framework for it's launch throughout the business. The Senior WHS Manager will provide leadership, specialist skills and knowledge of the WHS evidence base to provide strategic direction and support to managers. Once recommendations are approved, this role will be directly responsible for driving the program of change through the business, educating and coaching key stakeholders.

About You:

  • Demonstrated strong management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 12 years' relevant experience
  • Experience in multi-site sectors such as Property and Retail sector highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety and relevant industry training and accreditation
  • Ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Above all, you will be a strong problem solver that knows how to assess and review, build and deliver a plan. You work collaboratively, and are comfortable working with senior leaders, influencing strategic decision making, and working with Safety Management decisions.
