Job description
We are currently partnering with a well-established national law firm recognised among Australia's top legal practices. The firm is known for delivering exceptional client service within a collaborative and supportive environment. They are seeking strong and experienced Legal Assistants to join their Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team. This is the perfect role for someone who has strong experience in ligation and who is looking to accelerate their career.
Role Overview:
- Provide high-level administrative support to a team of senior and junior legal professionals
- Opportunity to take on paralegal responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage diaries, emails, and phone communications for the team
- Coordinate billing processes and manage expenses
- Perform personal assistant duties and work autonomously
- Support file management, including opening, closing, and archiving
- Maintain strong client relationships and liaise directly with clients
- Take instructions from clients on behalf of the legal team
- Prepare legal documents and briefs for Counsel
- Handle electronic court filings
- Organise team events and functions
- Assist with general administrative tasks
Candidate Profile:
- 2+ years expereince in a Legal Assistnat positon required
- Solid experience in a legal assistant role, ideally within employment law or litigation
- Proven track record of successfully billing
- Proven track record of opening & closing of files
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and document formatting
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Professional, calm, and adaptable with a positive attitude and team spirit
