Our client is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within, rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets. They are seeking experienced Mechanical Service Technician to start asap!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Scheduled service work
• Fault finding and troubleshooting tasks on locomotives
• Lathe operation

Requirements:

• Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency - Mechanical or Electrical
• Working experience in a maintenance environment is essential - Preferably rollingstock maintenance.
• Lathe operational experience - this is a must.
• General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity.
• Reliable & punctual.
• Commitment to a safe work environment and practices.
• Work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Focused on quality work & customer service excellence.
• Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Work over overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity
