Looking for a technical role with real work-life balance?

We're recruiting a Resident Automation Technician for a large, modern logistics and packaging site in Laverton North. This is a permanent, full-time role, based at one site only, supporting automated systems in a live environment.

You'll be hands-on, trusted, and autonomous. Once trained, you'll be the onsite technical SME, supported by an experienced local and global engineering team.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on:

  • Conveyor systems

  • AGVs (automated guided vehicles)

  • Packaging and material handling lines

  • Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting

  • Mechanical work, including pneumatics and hydraulics

  • Basic PLC diagnostics (no programming required)

  • Managing your day and working directly with onsite stakeholders

Training and support are provided. You're not expected to know everything on day one.

This role could suit you if you're:

  • Victorian A-Grade industrial electrician with strong mechanical aptitude

  • A mechanical fitter with a restricted (B or D class) electrical licence

  • A hands-on automation technician with a restricted licence

You'll bring:

  • Solid fault-finding skills (Mechanical & eeectrical)

  • Good computer and Microsoft skills

  • A professional, customer-focused approach

  • Confidence working independently
