The Role

As a professional Service Technician you will be required to provide market-leading support to customers by carrying out installations, commissioning, scheduled maintenance and service repairs at the customer's premises or in the workshop in order to minimise downtime. You will show your strength and expertise by providing firsthand advise to our clientele on minimum standards, regulatory compliance, functionality and performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out service repairs at the customer's premises or in the workshop.
  • Connect & Commission Professional Appliances.
  • In conjunction with Professional Service Back Office team, optimise allocated workload to accommodate over-runs and minimise unproductive time.
  • In support of PMA sales, conduct initial assessment of viability for PMA contract and feedback to relevant parties.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in the field.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate technical knowledge through diligent and timely use of all service documentation, technical data and appropriate resources.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance at customer sites in accordance with contractual obligations and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all assigned company equipment including laptop computer, calibrated equipment, mobile phone, and van is properly maintained.
  • The availability and flexibility for intrastate and interstate travel.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections where necessary liaising with colleagues and customers.
  • Liaise with chemical company representatives as required (limited to machine operation).
  • Conduct initial user operation training (limited to machine operation) as required.
  • Advise customers of and quote on any required repair works not covered by preventative maintenance contract and/or any safety issues.

Requirements:

  • A' Grade Electrical License or equivalent or, Restricted Electrical License or equivalent
  • Gas and Refrigeration licence highly regarded
  • COVID vaccination or exemption
  • Influenza vaccination
  • Police Check under 12 months expiry
  • Working with Children/Vulnerable persons
  • Preferred 3-5 year experience as a field technician with Miele
  • Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to adjust communication technique and approach dependent on situation/person
  • Demonstrate a high degree of self-management with regard to time management, use of resources and ability to prioritise tasks.
