Our Global client are currently seeking a Transport Allocator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating drivers and vehicles to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate drivers and vehicles for daily deliveries
- Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times and requirements
- Update transport management system with accurate and timely information
- Investigate and resolve any delivery or transport issues
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a transport allocation or logistics role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of transport management systems and processes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 6am-4pm
