The COVID-19 Vaccination Program in the COVID-19 Incident Coordination and Response Team (ICRT) provides critical support and works closely with the program Director, providing health policy advice and support. Key responsibilities of this team include leading the department's liaison with DHHS relating to vaccinations, working with services, corporate office and DHHS to ensure health advice and protocols are followed, implement protocols for management and oversight of vaccinations in education setting and develop policy positions on vaccinations in education settings.
The manager COVID-19 Vaccination Program reports to the to the COVID-19 Vaccination Program Director and plays a key role in the Department's COVID19 Health Policy response.
Key responsibilites include:
- Provide expert advice on COVID-19 health policy to program and policy areas across the Department and sector
- Lead departmental liaison with DHHS Public Health team and Chief Health Officer ensuring that the sectors policy and operations are aligned with CHO/health advice
- Coordinate health-related Cabinet responses
- Lead and manage strategic projects
- Manage the staff and operations of the COVID-19 Vaccinations team.
As the successful incumbent, you will have comprehensive knowledge about health, human service and education systems, a record of strategic policy or program development, understanding about health issues relating to the COVID19 pandemic in education settings, and demonstrated understanding of the workings of government.
You will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate and the ability to work from home. This will be an initial contract for 6-weeks with the potential for extensions.
