This Large Government Department is looking for a skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join their team for 12 month in their offices in Melbourne. This role will be providing support to the Product Owner to ensure an effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.

Some of your other duties will be:

  • Keep the team on track to deliver the desired sprint goals
  • Contribute towards release and program planning
  • Planning and executing Scrum implementations within the Program and Business Unit
  • Proactive in removing the impediments
  • Implement changes and steps to increase the team's productivity
  • Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as required
  • Leading, training, and coaching program team business unit in Scrum adoption
  • Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
  • Coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
  • Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work.

To be considered for the role, you should demonstrate the following:

  • Performing the Scrum Master role on a large program or project with a proven track record.
  • Adoption of and ability to impart knowledge of Scrum theory and rules into practice.
  • Proficiency in the establishment and continuous improvement of the tools that support the effective functioning of a Scrum team.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate vocation qualifications and certifications would be highly regarded.
