Our government client in Canberra is currently seeking to hire skilled economic modelling specialists to work on a diverse range of labour market modelling projects.
Duration: 12 months plus 2x 12 months extension
Australian citizens with minimum Baseline security clearance are eligible to apply
What to expect:
As an Econometrician, you will be responsible for analysing labour market data, developing, testing, and enhancing economic models with a specific focus on Beveridge curve analysis and search and matching models.
About you:
We are actively seeking candidates with a strong background in econometrics, particularly those with post-graduate qualifications in economics/econometrics and proficiency in R. Additionally, experience with GitHub, Azure (Databricks and Datalake), and Posit will be considered a plus.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following experience and capabilities:
- Postgraduate qualifications in economics/econometrics (e.g. PHD).
- Demonstrated experience analysing labour market data.
- Knowledge of Search and Matching and Beveridge Curve models.
- Strong knowledge of macroeconomics.
- Demonstrated capability and experience in econometrics.
- High level of proficiency in R (software), or the ability to acquire this quickly.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver complex projects.
