IT Field Technician / Desktop Support

Contract Role - On-site

The Role

You will be working with a leading independent provider of technology services who is engaged with multiple clients/institutions.
You provide On-Site hardware/software repairs and support to our customers both corporate and consumer on a wide range of desktop IT equipment as well as consumer in-home networks.
Assist in complete repairs within contracted Customer Service Level Agreement's (SLA's) with a high level of Customer Satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and repair of computers, printers and other peripherals and related electronic devices primarily on-site but also in the workshop as required
  • Perform installation or relocation of hardware
  • Liaise with customers on appointment times if required to manage and meet customer expectations
  • Applies routine diagnostic routines and determines spares requirements for repair assignments.
  • Ensure that all customer related paperwork (Call Job sheet, or other specific) is completed correctly and passed to the 'Call Co-ordination' team promptly
  • Ensure items have been repaired to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform technical duties in accordance with company procedures on basic equipment including utilising their experience to solve problems within their area of experience.
  • Able to apply logical, methodical, analytical approach to isolate and solve complicated hardware, software or network related problems
  • Organise shipping & return of OEM stock as required

Skills/Experience

  • Experience with diagnosis and repair of computers, printers and other peripherals and related electronic devices
  • Effectively communicate and to work with other technicians, technical employees, managers and customers in technical support situations
  • Work independently at a customer's site as required or in a team environment
  • Have good written Communication Skills
  • Completing paperwork specific product training
  • Reliable, confident and a self starter who is able to work independently
  • Own Vehicle and current drivers license
  • Holding valid Working with Children Check or happy to opt for one
