The Company
After more than 200 years of innovation this company delivers a broad range of technology-based products and solutions to the automotive, electronics, industrial, consumer, medical, photovoltaic and telecom markets. This company is currently looking for a Cost Accountant to work as a contractor at South Windsor site. This position will be responsible for site accounting and reporting, AP advisory and connect with local site contacts and process improvement.

The Role

The successful candidate is expected to have good knowledge on accounting, variance analysis, good communication skill and display excellent analytical skills. General understanding of site functions and operations are added advantage. This position also requires interface with a wide range of internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Supply Chain, Controllership, and others.

About You

As the Cost Accountant you will be passionate and enthusiastic about Accounting. You will be a confident multi-tasker and communicate well with others. As the Cost Accountant you will be looking to grow and enhance your career in a role where you can work closely with the Accounts team.

  • To assist in performing Month-end closing activities, MIS reporting
  • Provides management and financial statement users with relevant, comparable, and accurate data on which to base decisions.
  • Respond to queries from senior group level management as appropriate
  • Provide financial support & implement factory cost saving initiatives; Adhoc request on general financial support;
  • Support various annual activities - Stock take, Internal audit, and External audit as assigned.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and appropriate use of financial data and management reporting.
  • Complete presentations for senior management meetings, including annual budget meetings, strategic plan review, quarterly Business performance reviews and monthly management meetings.
  • Assist on ad-hoc project support, financial analysis and reports as requested
  • Improvise Work Processes
  • Recognize cross-functional impact and take action to address Customer needs



Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - required
  • Ability to balance multiple and conflicting priorities, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality of work
  • A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in accounting & costing, previous experience in manufacturing and understanding of product costing.
  • Strong communication and global collaboration skills.
  • Comfort in a visible, fast-paced, dynamic/uncertain business environment
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Office applications, SAP & Business Warehouse.
  • Networking with key contacts, including Supply Chain, Operation team, Regional Finance teams.
